The Day – Connie and Bryan were married in Galveston Beach, Texas on one of those off and on rainy days that no one hopes to have for their wedding. Although, the weather wasn’t ideal, the rain held out for us until the very end, and I was able to get some great shots of their big day.
With the high winds at Galveston lifting the crashing waves and the ocean lapping up at their feet, the ceremony was moved to the beach house pavilion. The house and grounds provided a beautiful backdrop for the day. Strong winds and waves didn’t stop these two from having the most gorgeous beach wedding photos, not even wet/brokwn camera flashes and lenses! Yes you heard it correct, my camera flashes and lenses were wiped away in the waves NOT a good thing on a wedding day! Now, of course, this is just one of many reasons why we keep reliable back-up gear with us at all times.
They had a short and simple ceremony on beach with all of their closest friends and family there. After the ceremony is when all the fun started! After a ton of great reception festivities, I pulled the couple outside to sneak into our Bride and Groom Session. We went back to the beach area for bride and groom portraits. We always tend to do these photographs as a “goodnight” to the bride and groom.
